This role focuses on cloud architecture, automation, governance, and performance optimisation. 🧾 Key Responsibilities ☁️ Cloud Architecture & Design Design Azure infrastructure (IaaS & PaaS) Build scalable and secure cloud environments Implement governance frameworks and landing zones ⚙️ Cloud Operations Manage Azure services (VMs, Storage, AKS, App Services) Monitor performance using Azure Monitor & Log Analytics Ensure high availability and disaster recovery 🔐 Security & Compliance Implement RBAC, Zero Trust, and Defender for Cloud Enforce policies and governance standards Ensure compliance with POPIA and ISO frameworks 🔁 Automation & DevOps Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) Build CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) Automate deployments and operations 💰 Cost Optimisation Monitor Azure costs and usage Implement scaling, budgeting, and optimisation strategies 🤝 Leadership Mentor junior engineers Act as escalation point for cloud issues Collaborate across IT, security, and dev teams 🧠 Skills Cloud architecture & DevOps Problem-solving & troubleshooting Leadership & stakeholder management Strong communication skills
