About the Role The successful candidates will oversee engineering maintenance activities within their designated mining areas to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The role focuses on equipment availability, maintenance planning, cost control, safety compliance, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities * Manage engineering maintenance activities and overhaul plans. * Ensure mining equipment remains operational and available. * Monitor equipment performance and reduce downtime. * Implement maintenance schedules and engineering procedures. * Conduct condition monitoring and predictive maintenance activities. * Investigate equipment failures and implement corrective actions. * Manage maintenance budgets and control operational costs. * Ensure compliance with engineering standards, policies, and legislation. * Support production teams in achieving operational targets. * Lead, coach, train, and develop maintenance personnel. * Drive safety performance and continuous improvement initiatives. * Conduct planned task observations and workplace inspections. Minimum Requirements Qualifications * National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or N3. * Mathematics, Physical Science, and English. * Electro Mechanic Trade Certificate. Experience * Minimum of 6 years relevant engineering or maintenance experience.
