Defy Appliances is hiring a PLC Technician to ensure automated manufacturing equipment runs reliably and efficiently. 👉 Great opportunity for artisans / automation technicians with PLC and control systems experience. 🎯 Key Responsibilities ⚡ Respond to machine breakdowns quickly 🖥️ Diagnose PLC, HMI and automation faults 🔧 Repair machine stoppages and control failures 📈 Maintain, modify and back up PLC/HMI programs ⚙️ Support machine setups and changeovers 🔍 Identify recurring faults and improve reliability 🤝 Work with production and maintenance teams 🦺 Ensure safety compliance and procedures ⭐ Technical Skills ✔️ Siemens / Omron / Mitsubishi PLCs ✔️ HMIs ✔️ Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) ✔️ Servo Drives ✔️ Electrical drawings & schematics ✔️ Control logic systems 🗓️ Closing date:27 April 2026

Requirements

Trade Tested Artisan:
Electrician
Instrumentation
Millwright
OR
Diploma / Degree in Mechatronics or Light Current Engineering
Minimum 5 years experience in automated manufacturing
PLC fault-finding experience
