Warehouse Assistant - Cape Town

JOB REQUIREMENTS RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: • At least 2 years’ experience in warehouse environment MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Matric or equivalent qualification PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Matric or equivalent qualification BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS: • Ability to work unsupervised • High energy and self-motivated • Ability to handle pressure • Ability to pay attention to detail • Service orientated attitude • Organized • Understands the urgency of deadlines • Conscientious and Reliable • Dedicated, willing to grow and adapt to change • Knowledge of steel TECHNICAL SKILLS: • Customer service • Numerical Ability • Ability to read and write in English • Communication skills • Product Knowledge PRIMARY FUNCTION OF THE POSITION: • To assist in general warehouse duties. • To make sure that all stickers are pulled with correct quantities and look after the beams area in terms of housekeeping. • Make sure that the stock is protected from rain by covering with tarpaulins at all times. • Also help in loading and offloading of trucks. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: • Maintain allocated section of the warehouse to the company required standard and ensure a high quality of workmanship at all levels • Comply with the Occupational, Health and Safety Act and inform the maintenance supervisor when the ability to fulfill the above obligations is endangered. • Manage the workshop, stores, tools and equipment as well as all safety • General housekeeping
